Interpret My Dream Dictionary

What does a dog symbolize?
What does the number 11 mean?
What about short hair? Long hair? Dreadlocks?

Find out the answers to these questions and many, many more.

Interpret My Dream has maintained an internal dream dictionary for many years, and we have recently made it available to the public and major search engines.

The Dream Element Dictionary was initially populated by Master Certified Dream Interpreters and Master Certified Trainers.

Before you begin
As you use this dictionary, keep in mind that the dream’s context (what happens in the dream as a whole) can greatly influence the meaning of the dream’s metaphors and symbols. The meanings listed here are what the symbols commonly mean. In other words, a symbol may mean one thing in one dream and something else in a different dream.

Symbols may also mean one thing to one person (due to that person’s experiences) and something different to someone else. For example, for Sally, who loves cats, a cat may symbolize something positive, but for Steve, who is more of a dog person, a cat may symbolize something negative.

Finally, most symbols have double meanings: They can be positive or negative depending on the context. Numbers are (usually) one of the few exceptions of this.

How can you use this dictionary well? Discipline yourself to memorize common metaphors and what they typically mean, and then wait for the interpretation to come to you. Waiting for the interpretation is one of the most important things you can do.
